Assistant Manager, Clinical Admissions (RN)

Shodair Childrens Hospital is seeking a compassionate organized and clinically skilled Assistant Manager Clinical Admissions to lead our admissions team and ensure every patient and family experiences a safe supportive and seamless transition into treatment.

This role is ideal for a mission-driven RN who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment enjoys mentoring others and wants to shape the front door of care for Montanas youth and families.

What Youll Do

• Lead Admissions Staff Provide direct supervision coaching and performance management for a dedicated clinical admissions team.
• Guide Patient Flow Oversee referrals admissions transfers and discharges to ensure timely accurate and patient-centered transitions.
• Ensure Clinical Excellence Review documentation assessments and initial treatment plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Support High-Acuity Cases Offer clinical guidance and escalation support for complex or urgent admissions.
• Drive Quality & Compliance Participate in audits monitor regulatory standards and champion best practices.
• Collaborate Across Departments Work closely with nursing medical staff and leadership to optimize throughput and enhance patient experience.
• Champion Patient-Centered Care Support families uphold patient rights and promote culturally responsive care.

• This position starts at $42.26 per hour.

What You Bring

• Current RN license (Montana or compact state)
• Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Experience in admissions and at least 2 years in healthcare behavioral health or inpatient care
• Strong leadership communication and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and support staff through challenging situations
• Familiarity with EHR systems and regulatory standards

Preferred: Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
