The Technical Sales Manager is responsible to grow the Specialty Films business in Vietnam by supporting existing customers expanding applications and actively developing new business opportunities across key end-use segments including mobility identification consumer and industrial applications (footwear textile E&E etc.) and medical.
Main Responsibilities
1. Account Management & Customer Support (existing business)
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers in Vietnam.
Act as the primary commercial and technical interface between customers and internal teams.
Manage day-to-day sales activities: pricing quotations forecasts order follow-up and issue resolution.
Support customers on product selection application development and trials.
2. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify and develop new business opportunities customers and applications in Vietnam.
Actively prospect new accounts across targeted industries and value chains.
Work closely with customers to understand market needs trends and unmet requirements.
Initiate and drive new product qualifications and commercialization.
3. Market Intelligence & Strategy Execution
Monitor Vietnam market trends competitors pricing dynamics and regulatory developments.
Provide structured market feedback to regional team.
Support go-to-market strategies product positioning and launch activities.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with technical service R&D supply chain and quality teams to ensure customer success.
Support sampling trials technical discussions and problem solving.
Align sales activities with regional strategy and product roadmap.
5. Sales Performance & Reporting
Deliver agreed sales targets growth objectives and KPIs.
Prepare sales forecasts opportunity pipelines and customer reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics.
Qualification Requirements
Education:Bachelors degree in engineering Materials Science Polymer Science Chemistry Business or related fields.
Experience:
5-7 years experience in sales business development or technical sales.
Experience in specialty materials films plastics polymers or industrial products is strongly preferred.
Experience dealing with OEMs converters or industrial customers in Vietnam.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong business development mindset with hands-on execution.
Ability to balance existing account management and new customer acquisition.
Good understanding of technical products and application-based selling.
Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-growing dynamic market.
Fluent in Vietnamese and English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel within Vietnam as required.
