This position will coordinate both the Volunteer Program and the Gift Shop to include inventory tracking scheduling staff and volunteers and other gift shop activities. We are looking for someone who is outgoing excellent at building relationships and has the organizational skills to successfully manage the gift shop and our volunteer program. Job Summary:

Coordinates the activities of volunteer services

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts recruitment selection and training of volunteers
  • Coordinates the schedules and daily activities of volunteers
  • Liaison between leadership and volunteer resources to match needs of department with skills of volunteers
  • May also organize volunteer recognition program(s) and assist with fundraising efforts
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Two yearsexperience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting standing walking reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms malfunctioning machinery etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending stooping kneeling squatting twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
