About the role
Monocle is looking for a self-motivated proactive building and landscape maintenance professional to work with us until the end of 2026 at Midori House in Marylebone a unique building and office space and an important part of our brand experience. It is our company HQ where we also host events and welcome VIP guests and clients.
The role includes:
- Managing the exterior space including watering weeding and cleaning the courtyard balconies and terrace
- Maintaining and caring for indoor plants
- Attending to scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance needs around the building in areas including lighting event set-up furniture moving alarm testing and fire safety
- Arranging external contractors as needed
- Moving and storing boxes and deliveries
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in building and landscape maintenance
- A high level of competence in a range of ad-hoc tasks
- An ability to work independently spot issues and solve problems
- Attention to detail initiative and a proactive approach
- Confident communication skills and a positive attitude
Our team is ambitious talented professional and committed to excellence in everything that it does. This role is a fixed-term contract and working hours are negotiable (35 to 40 hours a week). Please note that all applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
