This role is responsible for the design/manufacturing/testing phases of Automation Systems within EPC EHV/HV Electrical Substations (AIS / GIS / HVDC / FACTS / Onshore / Offshore / Renewable/etc.) . This includes working closely with engineering teams suppliers customers sourcing and project managers.Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
This role will have the following key missions:
Define the scope and documents necessary to meet customer needs for the Hardware Software and Configuration of Automation Systems.
Establish technical specifications for components and subsystems supplied by internal partners and external suppliers.
Analyze technical proposals received and participate in technical clarifications with equipment suppliers for the Automation Components and the relevant scope of substation systems.
Establish basic design and then detailed drawings in compliance with contractual specifications using CAD tools in line with company processes.
Participate in factory tests of Automation Systems components and related systems in compliance with contractual technical specifications and project time schedules.
Quality
- Comply with Quality Procedures work instructions and Processes at Grid solutions level and Project Engineering function
- Report or resolve any non-conformances to process in a timely manner
Performance Measurement
- Evidence of monthly workload plan
- At least a yearly engineering process review for any improvement
- Attends gate reviews with execution team to assess review effectiveness
- Attend tender technical validation meetings to bring Return of experience on past projects and ensure effective involvement of Engineering at ITO phase
- KPI in place some consolidation done region level with analysis and associated improvement plan
- Budget followed on regular basis (as per finance requirement) anticipation and analysis of potential Budget deviation (Increase or decrease)
- Evidence of regular engineering team information/exchange meeting
- Development of key talents in both leadership and technical depth & Yearly skills improvement plan
- Safety leadership and performance
- Zero safety deviations no safety non-conformances
Desired Profile
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
Graduate from Process Automation school.
At least a year of experience in Industrial automation.
Basic knowledge of typical substation automated systems: power supply HVA/C ancillary services.
Knowledge of PLC SCADA HMI Industrial Networks and data protocols.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team with fluent English reading / writing.
