The role
You will be leading the strategic planning of Viaplays content portfolio and its performance and play a key role in aligning content decisions with commercial priorities and business goals.
You will act as the local planning authority translating content strategy commercial priorities and performance targets into a coherent annual and quarterly master plan.
You will also play an important role in identifying opportunities to maximize the impact of our content across the business. By combining strategic thinking with a strong focus on execution and performance you will help ensure disciplined execution across the organization.
Key responsibilities also include:
Analyzing performance data audience insights and forecasts to inform programming strategies and identify opportunities and risks across the content portfolio.
Own and monitor content performance proactively identifying gaps risks and underperformance- and driving corrective actions.
Proactively identify creative angles within the content slate on how titles can be amplified across the business including launch concepts thematic programming and alternative exploitation opportunities.
Identify and execute optimization opportunities across the content lifecycle (e.g. repositioning titles adjusting release timing updating key art or metadata improving in-product visibility).
Ensure strong operational execution and follow-through of the content plan across the organization.
What were looking for
You are a structured and forward-thinking planner with strong commercial instincts. You understand that planning is not only about structure but also about timing positioning prioritization and ultimately driving business performance and growth.
You are comfortable owning outcomes and continuously improving performance based on data and insights.
You likely have experience within strategy planning execution or media planning and are a strong communicator.
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and thats why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But in order to thrive in this role we do believe youll have at least some experience in the following:
Experience working with release strategies or content lifecycle management is highly valued. Experience from streaming media entertainment or other consumer-focused industries is considered a strong advantage.
Proven ability to translate commercial goals and performance targets into actionable plans.
A data-driven mindset with the ability to identify risks opportunities and gaps to make informed strategic decisions.
Experience working hands-on with content optimization levers (ex positioning artwork metadata scheduling or in-product merchandising) is a strong advantage.
Ability to manage planning processes and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams around shared priorities.
A creative mindset with the ability to spot opportunities to amplify content and translate them into impactful initiatives across marketing and the wider business.
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and adapt plans accordingly.
