Job Summary

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to play a key role in the financial operations of The Oxford Health Company an ambitious and growing nutraceutical business. Reporting to the Finance Director you will oversee day-to-day finance functions including management accounts accounts payable accounts receivable payroll statutory accounts audit support and cash flow management. You will play a key part in building a modern scalable Finance function and will be crucial in ensuring our financial health as we continue our expansion.

What will you do

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Finance Director in managing the companys financial operations.

  • Leading the financial accounting process maintaining robust financial records at all times.

  • Preparing monthly management accounts with robust and efficient close processes.

  • Producing financial reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Processing payroll ensuring compliance with necessary regulations and company policies

  • Overseeing tax compliance quarterly VAT returns and statutory reporting.

  • Improving financial controls processes and efficiencies within the business.

  • Managing relationships with auditors banks and external financial partners.

  • Supporting Finance function development as it scales particularly adapting systems and process flows alongside growth.

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring good supplier relationships are maintained and debt is controlled.


What Were Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA ACCA or CIMA)

  • Experience in a Financial Controller ideally within a SME business environment (manufacturing exposure preferred but not mandatory)

  • Hands-on experience with payroll tax compliance and financial reporting.

  • Ability to implement financial controls and improve operational efficiencies.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

  • Passion for working in a fast-paced high-growth business.
