What youll do
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Strip repair and reassemble Weir brand and non-OEM pumps valves and cyclones according to OEM specifications including balancing pressure testing and completing final inspection reports.
- Workshop Operations: Work primarily from the Perth Hazelmere Service Centre on a Monday to Friday roster (6:30am2:45pm Mon-Thurs 6:30am12:30pm Fri) with options for overtime and occasional Saturday work by agreement.
- Site Support: Provide onsite support during mine shutdowns as part of the site service crew when required assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in implementing the Weir Production System and recommend improvements to products services and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
What youll bring
Must-haves:
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning
- Experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a workshop or onsite environment
- Valid Drivers License
- Australian Work Rights
Nice-to-haves:
- Welding experience
- High Risk forklift ticket overhead crane and dogging tickets
- Experience working on pumps cyclones valves and related equipment
- Willingness to travel occasionally to mine sites for shutdown support
