JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Abingtons Science and Engineering Division seeks an instructor in the area of Computer Science for a part-time appointment to begin Fall 2026.
Job Duties
- The successful candidate will teach one or more of the following college level courses in computer science: Compiler construction formal languages with applications object orientedprogramming with web-based applications in Java.
- The ideal candidate should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.
- Candidates must have completed at least a Mastersdegree in either computer science or data science or a related field.
- Preference will also be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
- Preference will also be given to candidates with teaching experience or strong subject matter expertise in Compiler Construction.
