Job Summary
Overview:
We are looking to strengthen its finance department by hiring a Certified Accountant with the possibility for the role to evolve into Accounting Manager depending on the candidates seniority and experience.
Location: Benficain an area close to the train station.
Working arrangement: On-site.
Contract type: Initial 12-month contract renewable for a further 6 months with the prospect of permanent integration afterwards.
What will you do
- Coordinate and monitor the accounting activity of the groups 5 companies
- Lead organize and develop a team of 4 people
- Ensure the reliability of financial and accounting information
- Supervise monthly and annual closings as well as tax obligations
- Promote the standardization of processes and accounting best practices
- Report directly to the Finance Director
- Support decision-making through accurate and timely information
What are we looking for
- Certification as a Certified Accountant is mandatory
- Solid experience in accounting preferably in a corporate environment rather than in an accounting firm
- Team management experience will be valued for the Accounting Manager role
- Good knowledge of SAP and Excel
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and sense of responsibility
- Good leadership communication and teamwork skills
- English is not required
