Job Summary
To be eligible youth must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of ageat the beginningof the employment period*
- be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under theImmigration and Refugee Protection Actfor the duration of the employment**and
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
*The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
Who we are:
Canadian Mental Health Association Durham is an integrated community mental health and primary care hub that has been providing mental health services to Durham Region for over 60 years.
During that time it has evolved to provide a broad range of services to individuals and their families experiencing mental health challenges from information and education to case management psychosocial rehabilitation housing and primary healthcare. These services are provided through inter-professional teams focused on providing clinically based services that in addition to dealing with client mental health issues address social determinants of health using the recovery model.
OVERVIEW
This position provides administrative support to the Employee Experience Department within the Canadian Mental Health Association Durham (CMHA Durham).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides administrative support to the Employee Experience department
- Maintains and develops filing systems within the Employee Experience department
- Provides data entry as directed
- Filing printing and storing documents
- Assisting with updating training and onboarding documents
- Conducts file audits and coordinates the office archiving project as required
- Scanning of various documents and organizing them in the appropriate drive
- Other duties as assigned by management
SKILLS
- Outgoing and willing to take initiative
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint & Outlook)
EFFORT
- Sits at desk stands and walks daily to perform the duties of the job
- Concentration attentiveness and creativity required daily to answer inquiries format documents prepare documents listen to staff and colleagues etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Works in an office environment
- Exposure to distractions interruptions and deadlines
- Little exposure to potential hazard
