Role Overview

Harveys Legal Engineers are former practicing lawyers who bridge customers sales and product to support all aspects of our sales strategy and product development. As trusted advisors to the lawyers they work with they lead sharp discovery and tailored product demonstrations translating real legal work into Harvey solutions that provide clear value for lawyers.

As strategic partners to law firms and in-house teams Legal Engineers thrive in ambiguity and help lawyers do higher-quality work faster and with more confidence using Harvey.

What Youll Do

  • Work directly with lawyers at current and prospective customers to uncover workflow pain points recommend solutions and show how Harvey fits into real legal work.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer translating feedback and legal workflow insights into concrete lawyer-ready product direction.

  • Partner closely with product engineering sales and marketing to shape Harveys roadmap and ensure the product evolves in ways lawyers trust and adopt.

  • Build and refine product demonstrations workflows and use cases that reflect how legal teams actually work including how AI is changing that work.

  • Introduce new capabilities in a way thats tailored credible and compelling for each customer continuously raising the bar for how Harvey is deployed.


What You Have

You move confidently through uncertainty you operate at speed and ship solutions that workiterating quickly with lawyers sales teams and product partners to help Harvey and its customers win. You bring deep curiosity about AIs potential to transform legal work a bias toward action and the creativity to solve problems nobodys cracked yet.

  • Based in Toronto and eligible to work in Canada.

  • Canadian practicing certificate (or equivalent common-law qualification) with 3 years experience as a qualified lawyer including meaningful in-house experience at a corporation or financial institution (with prior top-tier law firm experience strongly preferred).

  • Strong background as a corporate attorney with hands-on experience advising on corporate commercial and/or regulatory matters within an in-house legal team.

  • Deep understanding of corporate legal workflows (e.g. commercial contracting governance compliance or transactions) and curiosity about how AI can reshape them.

  • Proven ability to navigate business-oriented legal environments balancing legal risk with practical commercial outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make confident well-reasoned recommendations in fast-paced ambiguous settings.

  • Ability to operate seamlessly across legal product and sales contextstranslating between stakeholders with clarity and precision.

  • Executive presence and strong relationship-building skills with experience engaging business stakeholders senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with product sales or business teams in an in-house setting; customer-facing or business development experience is a plus.

  • French speaking is a plus.
