Job Summary
As an Analyst within the Natural Resources (Mining & Energy) coverage team in our Global Investment Banking (GIB) business based in Sydney you will be heavily involved in transaction execution marketing and other client coverage initiatives as well as playing a part in driving the culture overall strategy and growth of the business.
Job responsibilities
Participate in the full cycle of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches reviewing and formulating financial analysis preparing and presenting internal and client presentations
Demonstrate your analytical modelling writing and presentation skills
Be knowledgeable about the global and Australian sectors and its participants and will collaborate closely with colleagues across JP Morgans global platform as well as the Australian product groups
Be highly motivated enthusiastic proactive and aligned with J.P. Morgans growth aspirations
Contribute to the development and learning of analysts working in the Global coverage group as well as the Australian product groups
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
Minimum 1 year experience in an investment banking and an awareness of the products and services provided
A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
Strong financial modelling skills
A general understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved
Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals clients and key stakeholders in other product groups
Proactive highly motivated and committed with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively
