Cybersecurity Engineer
About the Role:
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of cybersecurity initiatives across a complex multi-site environment. As a Cybersecurity Engineer you will play a critical role in protecting enterprise systems strengthening security posture and driving continuous improvement in security operations.
You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to assess risks implement security controls and respond to evolving threats. This is a hands-on high-impact position ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and technical execution in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement maintain and enforce cybersecurity standards policies and procedures
- Monitor analyze and correlate data from multiple security sources including networks endpoints and servers
- Assess existing security architecture identify vulnerabilities and implement enhanced protections
- Lead and support security planning risk assessments and risk management initiatives
- Continuously evaluate the organizations security posture and provide actionable recommendations
- Detect investigate and respond to emerging threats and security incidents
- Manage and support cybersecurity tools including SIEM vulnerability management data loss prevention and privileged access systems
- Validate that systems software and infrastructure meet security compliance standards
- Develop and maintain security documentation baselines and best practices .
- Support internal teams by addressing security alerts requests and technical issues .
- Stay up to date with evolving cybersecurity trends threats and technologies .
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new security tools and solutions .
- Ensure data integrity confidentiality and compliance with company policies .
- Participate in incident response including after-hours situations when necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering or similar role
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles frameworks and best practices
- Hands-on experience with network security devices such as firewalls routers switches and IDS/IPS .
- Experience with SIEM tools vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Nessus) and privileged access management systems
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards guiding enterprise cybersecurity practices
- Ability to analyze complex data and identify security risks and solutions
- Strong problem-solving analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage projects independently from initiation to completion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative team-oriented mindset
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
