Contract Lawyer

• Review and negotiation of international framework agreements and individual projects in plant engineering with global clients
• Resolution of legal issues in international trade economic and contract law
• Legal expertise in project management and service for international projects
• Providing support to subsidiaries in corporate and contract law matters
• Implementation of process optimization in risk management and contract controlling
• Support and coordination in handling court and arbitration proceedings at home and abroad including the development of defense and enforcement strategies in cooperation with the specialist departments.
• Preparation and legal evaluation of litigation strategies pleadings and settlement negotiations
• Support of conceptual claim management and reporting to group audit
• Advising the sales/project managers of a market zone on all project-related issues.
• Ensuring interdisciplinary training for all employees regarding legal topics
• Continuous updating of all legal areas together with colleagues from the legal department in the sense of a holistic consulting service.

• Fully qualified lawyer with advanced exams
• Experience in the legal department of an industrial company with a focus on commercial and trade law or comparable practical training
• Excellent understanding and interest in economic and technical contexts
• Experience in handling and coordinating court or arbitration proceedings ideally in an international environment
• Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking in conflict management
• Fluent English additional language skills are an advantage
• Intercultural experience
• Proficient use of common MS Office applications and openness to e-tools
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips at home and abroad
• Strong communication skills high persuasiveness and goal-oriented action
