Job Summary
Senior Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) / Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Deans Office of the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref: 535041)to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a good University degree preferably in Communications Journalism Business Public Relations or Marketing with at least 5 years relevant work experience in the higher education sector or a public/quasi-public organisation.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese IT proficiency strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. They should have strong passion for institutional advancement and student work be able to multi-task independently and under pressure. Experience in publicity and publication project/event management stakeholder relationships and databases with sound knowledge in design and application of Adobe Creative Suite software Photoshop and/or WordPress would be an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for (1) managing CEDARS communication channels; (2) production of publicity materials and collaterals; and (3) leading a small team to deliver a wide variety of initiatives and events at CEDARS. He/She will line up prospective collaboration work closely with key internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to students administrative offices institutional partners vendors and community organisations.
