Instrument Manager

Job Description

Our clientishiring an experienced Instrument Manager to lead the instrumentation scope for a greenfield new plant project in Rayong.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on technical leader to play a key role in setting up a brand-new manufacturing facility from the ground up.

Location: Rayong

Note: Willingness to work at a remote industrial site is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full review of basic and detailed engineering for all instrumentation systems
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering leads (Process Mechanical Electrical etc.)
• Verify designs recommend improvements with latest technologies and ensure compliance with Thai regulatory requirements
• Oversee the complete project lifecycle from concept through to successful commissioning
• Lead and develop a diversified team (direct & indirect reports) setting clear goals and responsibilities
• Effectively mobilize and manage contractors while handling multiple priorities
• Drive strict adherence to safety regulations and maintain high standards of quality execution
• Manage all project-related regulatory and statutory communications

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation within the process/manufacturing industry
• Strong expertise in DCS and PLC systems including logic development
• Hands-on experience with installation maintenance & calibration of field instruments (control valves temperature pressure flow level etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings especially P&IDs
• Familiarity with communication protocols between instruments and electrical systems
• Proven experience in Greenfield or large Brownfield projects (highly preferred)
• Prior involvement in new plant setup is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel)
• Solid understanding of business/financial acumen statutory norms 5S and material management
• Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills
