Position Purpose:
The Central Monitoring Technician monitors noninvasive cardiac activity of patient populations by continuous
electrocardiographic display. Provides surveillance of patient cardiac rhythm status as well as other telemetry indicators. Notifies Registered Nurse of any changes in the basic electrocardiographic pattern. The position continuously observes patients undergoing epilepsy monitoring. Notifies Registered Nurse of any patient events or behavior changes.
What you will do:
Monitors noninvasive cardiac activity of patient populations by continuous electrocardiographic display.
Analyzes the rhythm on the telemetrymonitor andcommunicates pertinent information to the Registered Nurse immediately.
Monitors and documents multiple patients continuous ECG accurately including measurement of PR interval QRS duration QT interval heart rate and rhythm.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:High school graduate required
