Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations including inventory management logistics and personnel supervision. This role requires strong leadership skills meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
  2. Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  3. Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements monitor usage patterns and generate reports for management review.
  4. Develop warehouse operations by determining product handling and storage requirements and implementing and evaluating standard operating procedures.
  5. Plan and execute efficient inbound and outbound logistics activities including receiving storing and shipping of materials and products.
  6. Coordinate transportation arrangements with third-party carriers and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs.
  7. Monitor shipping documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements for hazardous materials transportation.
  8. Design and implement layout strategies to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient material flow.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for warehouse safety including proper handling of hazardous materials.
  10. Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and address potential safety hazards.
  11. Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards related to warehouse operations including environmental regulations and quality management systems.
  12. Recruit train and supervise warehouse staff including material handlers forklift operators and administrative personnel.
  13. Foster a culture of teamwork accountability and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
  14. Conduct performance evaluations provide feedback and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  15. Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy order fulfillment rates and warehouse productivity.
  16. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  17. Demonstrates product and component knowledge.
  18. Support the company mission vision goals and objectives and is an advocate for the company.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Drivers License
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Inventory environment
  • Minimum of 2 years previous supervisory/management experience in a Manufacturing Inventory environment
  • Proficiency with various types of standard warehouse equipment and material handling tools
  • Forklift Certification

  • Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite SharePoint and Syspro.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and possesses manual dexterity.
