Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC currently has a full time permanent role for the position of Urgent Care Physician. The core of the role is to provide excellent clinical care in a manner that is patient-centred and with the highest quality standards.

What will you do:

• Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations
• Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation aged from 12 months
• Minor injuries; including: sprains fractures and wounds
• Minor illnesses
• Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs
• Facilitating referrals to ED/ specialists where indicated

What you need to be successful

Education & Experience

• Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care/ emergency medicine experience.
• Training in emergency medicine general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
• 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
• Flexibility across a 7-day roster.
• BLS
