Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are Hiring a Social Care Manager to lead a Nursing care home in Louth Ireland.

Responsibilities

Design coordinate and implement a varied programme of engaging activities and events that enhance the quality of life for residents of Moorehall Lodge.

Lead the planning and delivery of a comprehensive social and recreational programme that promotes resident wellbeing inclusion and engagement.

Ensure activity schedules are structured to maximise benefits for residents while complementing the overall care provided by the multidisciplinary team.

Provide effective leadership guidance and support to the activities team and associated staff.

Encourage residents to participate in meaningful and enjoyable activities while respecting their independence personal choices and dignity.

Consult with residents to identify their individual interests preferences abilities and social needs ensuring activities are tailored accordingly.

Develop and communicate a monthly calendar of activities and social events ensuring residents are informed and encouraged to participate.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the activities programme making improvements based on resident feedback and outcomes.

Actively contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and care plan reviews by providing updates on residents engagement participation and wellbeing.

Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations volunteers and local groups to enhance the range and quality of activities available to residents.

Promote and uphold a person-centred approach to care by delivering activities that support the physical emotional social intellectual and spiritual wellbeing of residents.



Requirements


Hold a relevant Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care Social Care Practice Applied Social Studies Health and Social Care Management Healthcare Management or a related discipline.

Demonstrate previous experience working within a healthcare residential care nursing home disability or older persons care setting.

Possess strong leadership organisational and people management skills.

Have experience in planning coordinating and evaluating social recreational and wellbeing programmes.

Show a commitment to person-centred care and promoting residents independence dignity and quality of life.

Excellent communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge of relevant Irish healthcare regulations HIQA standards safeguarding practices and health and safety requirements.

Experience in staff supervision performance management and service development is desirable.

Proficient in spoken and written English.

Garda Vetting clearance and satisfactory professional references are required.
