Azure Cloud Engineer
Location: Location: Ghent area Belgium
Your Role
We are looking for a driven and hands-on Cloud Engineer to join a globally oriented cloud this role you will focus on the detailed technical design and implementation of cloud infrastructure ensuring best practices across projects.
You will play a key role in designing building and maintaining scalable secure and reliable cloud environments while collaborating closely with development and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design cloud infrastructure with a focus on networking security scalability and governance
- Define high availability disaster recovery and backup/restore strategies
- Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates and reference architectures
- Select appropriate cloud services to meet performance reliability and security requirements
- Collaborate with development and security teams to align infrastructure with application needs
- Build and manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform and configuration tools like Ansible
- Deploy configure and maintain cloud resources
- Support DevOps practices by bridging development and operations for faster delivery
- Perform infrastructure testing and implement monitoring and security controls
- Work with cloud architects and engineers to ensure stable and efficient releases
- Set up backup solutions and monitoring frameworks
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide second- and third-level support
Your Profile
- Bachelors or Masters degree in IT or a related field
- Strong interest and passion for cloud engineering
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms particularly Microsoft Azure
- Solid understanding of cloud fundamentals networking security and monitoring
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive and able to think creatively to solve challenges
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to work on-site as required
