Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivatedanddetail-orientedQuality Specialistto join ourSunwarriorteam. This brand-focused position plays a key role insupporting ourQuality Teamby ensuring safeand Specialist willbe responsible forreviewingproceduressetting quality standards and enhancing andmaintainingquality processes. This position requires high attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raw Material Qualification

• Raw ingredient technical information gathering and evaluation to support customer certifications or needs

• Creation and maintenance of Finished product Specifications

• Creation and maintenance of Raw Material Specifications

• Works with PD SupplyChainand customers on gathering finished product information and customer requirements to buildaccuratespecifications

• Ensure 3rdpartycustomersproducts areanalyticallytestedtimelyfor release as per finished product specifications

• Assistmanagement by issuing/creating certificates of analysis (CoA) certificates of conformance (CoC) and waivers for thetimelyrelease of finished goods

• Organizes reviews files andmaintainscontrolled documents

• Generates products and ingredients statements as needed

• Good documentation practices with post market surveillance of consumer complaints

• Document Control: reviewing internal SOPs and providing revision control

• Reviews root-cause analysis product quality / adverse event investigations and other problem-solving activities toidentifyeffective corrective actions and process improvement opportunities.

• Evaluates CAPAs when non-conformances areidentifiedinternally or at Contract manufacturing/packaging facilities.

• Assistsin the development of special projects and works in conjunction with distribution and other departments as needed.

• Maintain quality systems and improve programs to ensure compliance with industry standards regulatory requirements for dietary supplements and nutritional products (cGMP GDP 21 CFR 111 HACCP FSMA SQF NSF GFCO TGA etc)

• Additionalduties as needed.

RequiredQualifications:

• Bachelors degree in food science Biology Microbiology Chemistry Nutrition Exercise Science or an applicable scientificdiscipline.

• 1- 3yearsqualityexperienceor morewith nutritional supplements dietary ingredients food or equivalent experience as it pertains to this role.

• Knowledge and understanding of 21 CFR Part 111 (cGMP in Manufacturing Packaging Labeling or Holding Operations for Dietary Supplements) and/or 21 CFR Part 117 (cGMP in Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food)

• Experience in a Quality environment strongly preferred

• Accurate data entry skills and Lab sample submissions

• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

• Experience with Office (Word/Excel)

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ability to interact efficiently with a multidisciplinary team.

• Ability toidentifydeficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives in cooperation with the other members of the quality team.

• Proficientinconducting qualitytestingand inspections.

• High levelofattention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
