Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (11:00 PM 11:30 AM)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Children/Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. This role involves providing direct patient care in a behavioral health setting supporting pediatric and adolescent patients with psychiatric needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a pediatric psychiatric unit
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient behavior
- Assist with patient intake exams and clinical procedures
- Support daily care activities and patient hygiene needs
- Administer injections and assist with medical procedures as directed
- Maintain safe and therapeutic patient environment
- Document patient information using electronic medical records (EMR)
- Communicate patient updates to the healthcare team
- Assist with administrative and unit support tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Active New York State LPN license
- CPR certification (current or eligible for recertification)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior inpatient hospital experience
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Psychiatric nursing experience required
- EKG application experience preferred
- Experience with EMR systems
