Home Physicians Group was established in 2005 and we are a large practice servicing the central Florida geriatric population for 20 years. We are a large group with over 25 providers caring for patients in the Skilled Nursing Facility Assisted Living Facility homebound patients in the comfort of their home and we care for patients in our office setting.
Were seeking a dedicated and motivated medical assistant to join our growing medical practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented professional and passionate about delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
Greet and triage patients record medical history and enter data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Obtain and document vitals (blood pressure temperature pulse etc.)
Perform venipuncture and administer injections under provider supervision
Assist medical providers during exams and procedures
Perform and document rapid tests as ordered by providers
Schedule follow-up appointments and record test results in the patient chart
Verify insurance and demographic information for accuracy
Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and medical supplies
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar credential required
Phlebotomy certification required
Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
Knowledge of EMR systems and basic computer skills
Excellent communication organization and multitasking skills
Spanish speaking is a plus!
