The UK Sports Institute and Aquatics GB have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Sports Medicine Team Physician - Para Swim

A snapshot of the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the medical provision to Para-swimming shaping the way we deliver sports medicine in this Paralympic sport. We see this role as critical to our success and are looking for leadership expert clinical skills and the ability to work in an integrated manner as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The doctor will be responsible for leading the delivery and coordination of Sports Medicine services for athletes on the Aquatics GB (AGB) Para-Swimming World Class Programme and for identified WCP activity. This role will support the AGB Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with the development of the Para-Swimming element of the AGB Athlete Health strategy in order to optimise athlete physical and mental health maximizing their performance potential for major competitions.

The UK Sports Institute is the leading employer of Consultants in Sport & Exercise Medicine in the UK with a strong focus on developing individuals and collaboration as a team to deliver world leading healthcare to athletes. The successful applicant can expect 1:1 supervision leadership coaching and mentorship via a Regional Senior Sports Medicine Doctor and access to a range of learning & development opportunities within the Sports Medicine discipline across the UKSI and UK Sport.
