Special Education Teacher, Setting III Autism Edgerton Elementary School 2026-2027 School Year

Job Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Special Education ASD Teacher at Edgerton Elementary School. This is a 1.0 FTE position in our Federal Setting 3 ASD classroom starting August 24 2026. The licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows state-mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students; collaborates with service providers and other staff; communicates regularly with parents/guardians; schedules students and paraprofessionals; and supervises paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with student goals.
• Provide direct instruction in core academic areas while integrating social-emotional learning strategies.
• Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions and maintain a structured classroom environment.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff counselors and families to support students academic and emotional growth.
• Facilitate crisis prevention and intervention techniques as necessary.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with families and related service providers.

Qualifications:

• MinnesotaSpecial Educationlicensure required;Special Education ASD licensurepreferred.
• Experience case managing students.
• Commitment to an equitable and inclusive education experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.

Compensation: Minimum full year full time starting salary is $53085 plus a district contribution towards insurance.
