Inventory Control

The Role

This position manages all activities related to QC and inventory control within the warehouse environment.  Their main objective is to ensure that all materials are properly stored and that accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained in order to meet customer demands. The QC responsibilities include inspecting all inbound and outbound product to ensure that company quality and dating standards are met. This position will work closely with the receiving group to identify any quality issues with incoming product and take the appropriate action. QC will also work closely with the purchasing department to resolve quality issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Monitor physical inventory ensuring all pick slots are checked daily
• Record shortages lack of movement age and visual quality of inventory
• Report physical inventory to the Buyers and update system accuracy
• Communicate concerns and opportunities to Sales and Buying Staff
• Manage expiration dating and product rotation
• Achieve target shrink goals
• Provide SKU rationalization recommendations
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications :

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in warehouse shipping and handling preferred
• Experience WMS AS 400
• Intermediate Computer Skills: Microsoft Office: Outlook Word Excel And PowerPoint.
• Inventory Management experience is a plus
• Must be able to safely operate all warehouse equipment
• A vast knowledge of the fresh produce or perishables industry is needed to be successful in this role.
• Must demonstrate excellent written verbal and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to plan organize implement and follow through on projects.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and short deadlines.
• Critical thinking ability to use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally.
• Adaptability/Flexibility with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved.
• Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stoop kneel and reach regularly.
• Ability to work flexible hours and days weekends and holidays.
