Job Title: NMAMA Middle and High School STEM Teacher Reports To: Executive Director/Principal and/or STEM Department Head Position Type: Full-Time / Certified Teaching Position Job Summary: The NMAMA Middle and High School STEM Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous and engaging instruction in science technology engineering and mathematics. This position emphasizes hands-on project-based learning that prepares students for college and careers in STEM fields. The teacher will foster critical thinking collaboration innovation and problem-solving through interdisciplinary approaches aligned with state and national standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate STEM disciplines and real-world applications Teach courses such as physics biology chemistry algebra geometry coding robotics or engineering depending on certification and school needs Use project-based learning lab experiments and technology tools to enhance instruction Create a classroom environment that promotes inquiry creativity and respectful discussion Assess student performance through various formative and summative methods Support students in STEM competitions clubs or enrichment activities Collaborate with other teachers to design interdisciplinary units and curriculum Stay current on advancements in STEM education and incorporate them into instruction Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress Attend a minimum of 3 out of school functions one of which must be graduation

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a STEM-related field or Secondary Education (Masters preferred) Valid secondary teaching certification in one or more STEM subject areas Demonstrated experience or coursework in STEM teaching methods and project-based learning Strong classroom management and instructional skills Familiarity with educational technology and tools such as coding platforms CAD software or lab equipment Commitment to fostering diversity equity and inclusion in STEM education
