The Plant Systems Design team is responsible for delivering customer drawing packages that define critical interfaces and engineering inputs required for power plant design. The Sr Engineer Reference Plant and Taxonomy will ensure reference plant system design data remains accurate maintained structured and ready for both proposal and execution phases. This role enables ITR teams to execute P&IDs and associated engineering lists with the required quality on schedule and within budget. The individual will work closely with engineering and project teams across Platform Management Mechanical CoE p2v Project Engineering Controls and Electrical while also driving standardization automation and new AVEVA deployments and continuous improvement initiatives in this area.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Global responsibility for processes methods and content of Aveva Reference plant system design (P&ID and Engineering lists) across GT ST Generator HRSG WSC and BoP systems. Drive harmonization of processes methods and content across teams.
- Define and Own Gas Power KKS and RDS-PP guideline. Ensure its application across system design data.
- Define and own GE Vernova P&ID drafting standards interface report templates etc.
- Work in close collaboration with Mechanical Process Owners System Owners Platform Managers across the Organization to ensure reference plant health and maintenance in Aveva.
- Provide technical oversight to the Reference Plant Maintenance Team.
- Work closely with ITR execution Technical Leader and other Engineering teams to drive strategy on AVEVA deployment
- Mentor and train team members including contingent workers on standard work and Aveva Tool. Build a team culture of SQDC execution of contractual deliverables.
- Interface with key external customers EPC partners and internal interfacing organizations to ensure deliverables meet industry standard quality and content. Leverage CTH network for Design Reviews and ensuring accuracy of design and reference data.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Engineering
- Familiarity with Combined Cycle Plant systems processes and tools
