Fabrications Manager
Job Summary
The Role
As Fabrications Manager you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the fabrication operation. You will lead the team oversee production and ensure that quality safety efficiency and customer satisfaction are at the heart of everything we do.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing the fab shop team of 5 growing to 7
- Leading production planning scheduling and workflow to meet customer demand and deadlines
- Overseeing the transition into the new fabrication facility and embedding best-in-class ways of working
- Ensuring all work is delivered in line with quality standards technical specifications and customer requirements
- Driving a strong health & safety culture ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards
- Managing budgets costs and resources to maximise efficiency and profitability
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes capability and capacity as the business continues to grow
- Managing the price file for the product portfolio
Qualifications :
About You
You will be a confident hands-on leader with a strong background in fabrication or manufacturing operations.
Ideally you will bring:
- Proven experience managing a fabrication manufacturing or industrial workshop environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- A practical understanding of fabrication processes (plastic or pipework experience is advantageous but not essential)
- Experience of production planning operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- A proactive problem-solving mindset with strong organisational skills
- A commitment to high standards of safety quality and customer service
- The ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders
