About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack Java/Python/JavaScript) to help us build scalable high-quality products and applications.

This role primarily focuses on Java-based backend development with additional responsibilities in Python services and modern frontend development using JavaScript frameworks. You will contribute across the stack helping design and build both backend services and user-facing interfaces.

If you have hands-on experience in Java Python and frontend development (React or similar) and are passionate about Agile methodologies wed love to hear from this role you will design implement and maintain scalable components and frameworks across the full software development lifecycle.

The position will report directly to the Technical Manager of Software Development and will be based in our Chennai India office.

Key responsibilities:

• Design develop implement and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python
• Build and enhance frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React )
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend components
• Collaborate with cross-functional/product teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver tasks aligned with the Definition of Done
• Ensure code quality performance and scalability across both backend and frontend layers
• Identify and resolve immediate and potential issues in applications
• Collaborate with engineers on troubleshooting debugging coding and testing activities
• Participating in group meetings to discuss projects objectives and timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Contribute to UI/UX improvements and ensure responsive performant user interfaces
• As part of DevOps participate in an on-call rotation (1 week per month) being reachable and able to respond to alerts

You must have:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4 years of experience designing and developing Java-based applications preferably on the cloud
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Python for backend services scripting or data processing
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON-based services)
• Strong frontend development experience using JavaScript HTML CSS and frameworks such as React or
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services
• Familiarity with test frameworks such as JUnit Behave and Mockito
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL PostgreSQL)
• Experience with AWS cloud services and deploying scalable applications
• Experience with version control systems (Git GitHub Bitbucket)
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA Confluence
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Strong debugging troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write clean maintainable and testable code
• Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills

It will be very good if you have:

• Experience with advanced JavaScript concepts and modern frontend tooling (e.g. Webpack Vite)
• Experience with server-side JavaScript () or universal/isomorphic applications
• Understanding of UI/UX best practices and responsive design
• Experience designing system workflows and architecture diagrams
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience in the Cable or Satellite industry
