About the Role:
Fixed Term Contract: 12 months parental leave cover
As a Publishing Lead in our School Publishing team you will drive the commercial success of a portfolio of school learning resources across digital and print. Working closely with the Director of Publishing youll identify new market opportunities develop compelling publishing proposals and lead titles from concept through to market.
This is a highly collaborative role that blends market insight content leadership and commercial decisionmaking partnering with authors educators and crossfunctional teams to deliver highimpact learning solutions for the Australian school market.
How youll make an impact
Identify and evaluate new publishing opportunities through deep market curriculum and competitor research
Develop and present commercially sound publishing proposals grounded in market insight
Lead endtoend publishing projects across frontlist backlist and future lists
Commission and manage authors and contributors ensuring highquality outputs delivered on time
Partner with learning design content production and technology teams to deliver bestpractice products
Champion product quality through reviews user testing updates and revisions
Collaborate closely with Sales Marketing Customer Success and Customer Service to support launches campaigns and customer engagement
Build strong relationships with educators schools and key stakeholders to drive adoption and longterm success
What were looking for
A university degree or equivalent professional experience
Strong understanding of the Australian education sector and curriculum (teaching experience a plus)
Proven experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
Commercial acumen including exposure to budgets forecasting or job costing
Excellent relationshipbuilding and communication skills
Strong research analytical and proposalwriting capability
Highly organised proactive and comfortable working independently
Confident using standard business tools and quick to learn new systems
Willingness to travel interstate as required
