Principal Product Manager, Technical , Leo Trust and Privacy

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by providing broadband access to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Trust & Privacy team is responsible for defining maintaining and raising the bar with respect to the trust and privacy of Leo customers in 100 countries. As a horizontal team we are accountable for trust and privacy outcomes while working cross-functionally both within Amazon Leo and across Amazon including with Legal PR Public Policy engineering and business partners.

We are looking for an experienced Principal PMT who can drive technical product strategy for privacy across Leo navigate complex and novel privacy and data handling scenarios independently influence cross-functional stakeholders while delivering innovative solutions that balance customer privacy user experience and business objectives across our global customer base.


Key job responsibilities
In this role you will work directly with internal and external customers engineering teams and operational stakeholders to define Amazon Leo service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables. You will be responsible for vision strategy and roadmap around our privacy portfolio of customer-facing products and internal tools.

This role requires the ability to work in a collaborative analytical and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment dive deep into data have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews.

The best candidates will have deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services. Candidates with demonstrated business and operational experience in telecommunications privacy or regulatory domains or experience operating at scale across consumer and enterprise verticals are preferred.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


- Bachelors degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in using analytical tools and GenAI agents
- Experience with risk management or technical product or program management ideally in a privacy security legal or compliance role

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
