Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler/Quality Inspector to join our plastics manufacturing this role you will be the final line of defense as a technical inspector ensuring our plastic components meet rigorous industry standards within our production facility. Whether you are coming from a background in precision assembly have experience in a warehouse setting or have a foundational start in manufacturing your eye for detail as an inspector will ensure every product leaving our warehouse is of the highest caliber.

Responsibilities Include

  • Conducting thorough visual and tactile inspections of molded plastic parts to identify defects such as flash warping or short shots.
  • Performing dimensional inspections as a lead inspector using precision measuring instruments to ensure assembly parts adhere to blueprint specifications.
  • Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate logs for the production batches.
  • Collaborating with the assembly and production teams to troubleshoot recurring issues.
  • Quarantining non-conforming materials and assisting in root-cause analysis.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Manufacturing Background: At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing warehouse or production environment is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Strong familiarity with calipers and micrometers is a significant plus for any inspector.

    • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or work instructions.
  • Assembly Experience: Previous experience in precision assembly is highly valued as it provides a deep understanding of part fitment and functionality.
  • Quality Focus: Ability to spot minute deviations in color texture and measurement to maintain high quality standards.
  • Mathematical Aptitude: Comfortable performing basic calculations for measurement recording and tolerance checks.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting defects to supervisors and peers.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and handle small-to-medium plastic components frequently.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience education certifications and specific job-related skills. $20 - $24/hr
