Position: Cantonese Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50/hour
Commitment: 1020 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Cantonese. Follow detailed constraints and instructions.
• Produce high-quality written outputs in English when required. Ensure clarity accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Define and document evaluation standards for consumer audio contexts. Develop rubrics and grading guidelines in Cantonese and English.
• Conduct model testing and grading. Evaluate outputs for accuracy completeness and instructional clarity.
• Support benchmarking and quality assurance. Participate in QA cycles to meet Mercors quality standards.
• Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities and improve task design.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong writing editing and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English (spoken and written).
• Available to commit 1020 hours per week.

Preferred

• College students or recent graduates.
• Background in linguistics humanities social sciences or technical fields.
• Prior experience with transcription annotation evaluation or research workflows.
• Interest in AI language models or applied research environments.
