Accountant & Customer Support Specialist (Full-Time Remote US Hours)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant & Customer Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations ensure financial accuracy and maintain compliance with US accounting standards while working during US business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries
Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
Prepare and reconcile bank credit card and balance sheet accounts
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Generate financial reports including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
Support payroll processing and expense tracking
Assist with tax preparation and coordination with external accountants/auditors
Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
2 to 5 years of accounting experience (preferably in a US-based company or clients)
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero NetSuite)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
Experience working with US clients or in a remote setup
Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g. Gusto ADP)
Experience with financial analysis or budgeting
