AI / GenAI Developer (Java Agentic AI Chatbots)

Role Overview
We are looking for an innovative and driven AI / GenAI Developer to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building next-generation conversational platforms using Agentic AI ChatGPT and RAG-based architectures.
As part of a forward-thinking initiative you will help shape and deliver conversational web experiences contributing not only through high-quality development but also by bringing fresh ideas that inspire both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop intelligent chatbot and conversational AI solutions
- Build and implement Agentic AI and GenAI applications using modern frameworks
- Work with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
- Develop scalable backend systems using Java Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Integrate AI solutions with cloud platforms particularly Azure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance user experience and business value
Required Skills & Experience
- 68 years of software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
- Exposure to AI / GenAI tools and platforms (e.g. ChatGPT LLMs RAG frameworks)
- Experience with Azure Cloud services
- Familiarity with chatbot development and conversational interfaces
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proactive mindset with a strong eagerness to learn and innovate
