Managing Director, Portfolio Investments

A technology investment firm is seeking a Managing Director/ CEO to lead the strategic and operational development of its portfolio of B2B technology companies.

This role combines portfolio-level oversight with hands-on value creation focusing on scaling existing assets enhancing operational performance and executing selective M&A initiatives within the portfolio. The position offers direct exposure to shareholders and the opportunity to shape the evolution of a focused technology platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational development across the tech portfolio companies with full accountability for performance and value creation
• Work closely with portfolio company leadership to drive growth initiatives improve commercial execution and strengthen product-market positioning
• Identify and execute add-on acquisitions and strategic partnerships to enhance platform capabilities within existing businesses
• Establish and manage KPI frameworks across portfolio companies ensuring consistent performance tracking and accountability
• Implement effective governance reporting and operating processes at the platform level
• Act as the key interface between shareholders and portfolio management teams providing clear strategic direction and performance visibility
• Support integration and execution of M&A activities within portfolio companies

What Were Looking For

• 810 years of experience in technology investing corporate development or senior operating roles within Software SaaS or IT Services
• Current or recent experience at the level of Investment Director Principal or equivalent within a technology-focused investment firm is highly relevant
• Strong track record of working with portfolio companies including operational involvement and value creation initiatives
• Experience with M&A processes including execution and post-merger integration
• Ability to operate effectively across multiple business units and engage directly with senior stakeholders and shareholders
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic hands-on approach
• Fluent English and Russian
