An investment firm is seeking a VP/ Investment Director to strengthen its M&A execution capabilities with a focus on Oil & Gas transactions across the CIS.
The role involves leading transactions across all stages of the deal cycle from preparation of materials through execution and closing. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of key workstreams maintain high analytical standards and coordinate effectively with senior stakeholders clients and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions in the Oil & Gas sector
- Take ownership of financial models valuation outputs and transaction analysis including review and sign-off
- Manage deal teams providing clear guidance quality control and mentorship to Analysts and Associates
- Oversee execution across multiple live mandates including timelines resource allocation and coordination with advisors and clients
- Ensure smooth execution of cross-border transactions including regulatory and compliance aspects
- Represent the firm at the Board level in selected portfolio companies contributing to strategic oversight and key decision-making
Key Requirements
- 68 years of relevant M&A experience within investment banking Big 4 in-house M&A or corporate development with a strong focus on Oil & Gas
- Strong track record of executed transactions
Mandatory: candidates must provide a detailed list of completed deals including transaction size type geography and a clear description of their role and responsibilities
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills including experience with sector-specific analysis
- Solid technical grounding in corporate finance and transaction structuring
- Experience managing teams and running multiple workstreams in parallel
- Degree in finance economics or engineering
- CFA or equivalent qualification is an advantage
- Full professional fluency in Russian and English
