Rate of Pay: 15.06- 19.68 per hour
Summary:
The Payroll Practitioner provides critical project support for the implementation of the new SAP SuccessFactors payroll system. This role focuses on ensuring a smooth transition from the legacy BMS system by conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) assisting with parallel runs and creating training guidance for staff. Beyond project-specific duties the Practitioner assists Senior Practitioners and the Payroll Manager in supervising the daily service providing technical expertise and ensuring the payroll team meets the Councils strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the payroll workstream within the BMS replacement programme to implement SAP SuccessFactors across the HR and Payroll landscape.
- Provide Payroll functional expertise within the ERP modules to confirm and fulfil business requirements as part of the implementation workstream.
- Assist in the future system roll-out including supporting vital change management activities to ensure organizational readiness.
- Assist in the documentation and implementation of new guidance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Council policies relating to the SAP system.
- Perform system testing (UAT) and provide support during parallel payroll runs to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
Essentials:
- Strong demonstrable experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Previous experience working within a project environment is highly desirable; experience with SAP or SAP SuccessFactors is a significant advantage.
- Advanced functional knowledge of ERP modules specifically Payroll systems.
- Experience in supervising junior staff or providing first-line technical support in a high-volume environment.
