Whatyou will be doing:Responsible for monitoring and directing students engaged in center- sponsored recreational activities on and off-center in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the supervisor recreation in planning implementing and coordinating a comprehensive and diversified program which will attract voluntary participation
• Organize and supervise student participation in a variety of recreation/avocation activities and extended day learning activities
• Conduct recreation and avocation classes and activities
• Chaperone students to center recreation functions
• Assist in the development of the new enrollee recreation activities and plans.
• Conduct intergroup recreation activities as part of the diversity program
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by conducting daily cleaning duties
• Distribute mail daily to students
• Provide positive quality customer services to students staff and other center customers
• Participate in student employability programs and activities
• Support promote and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy
• Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions
• Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required and one year experience preferred
• Computer proficiency required
• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
