Job Summary
On behalf of our client global event company with entities in multiple countries we are looking for an experienced motivated and dynamic professional for a position located in the canton Basel Switzerland as:

Tasks
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsible for advising the CEO and Senior Executive Team on all legal and commercial matters affecting the Companys reputation risk and strategy
- Responsible for working closely with the Senior Executive Team on corporate and commercial strategy including business and corporate development initiatives
- Responsible for supporting the development of the global strategy and its implementation in commercial transactions
- Responsible for leading and supporting major transactions and negotiations including M&A partnerships and similar matters
- Structure deals and guide execution for new business/corporate development
- Lead and manage board and corporate approval processes
- Provide legal support for fair operations (e.g. content infrastructure etc)
- Embed the Companys Group governance & compliance best practice across the business
- Build and implement legal tools and processes for Company operations
- Align legal and risk requirements & outcomes across the Companys value chain (galleries visitors/VIPs partnerships operations)
- Standardise and professionalise the Companys legal outputs (eg visitor rules exhibition regs online terms)
- Provide legal support to the HR team including employment and organisational matters.
- Manage and resolve commercial disputes
- Liaise and align with the Company Groups legal risk finance and tax functions as required
- Liaise with the Company Groups Board of Directors as required
- Responsible for the instruction of external counsel and the management of the Companys legal budget.
Requirements
Your Profile:
- Law degree with a strong focus on international law is required
- Additional academic qualifications or continuing education in business or management is required
- At least 20 years of senior-level professional experience in the event entertainment media industry with a deep understanding of media cultural and digital business models including technological developments digital transformation and innovation
- 15 years of in-house experience in complex global organisations including direct experience with businesses operating in Asia Europe the United States and the Middle East is required
- At least 10 years of proven experience in senior legal roles with primary responsibility for leading and executing complex international M&A transactions including largescale crossborder deals with transaction values in the multibillion range
- At least 10 years of deep expertise in IP law ideally within the event/entertainment/media business
- Minimum 10 years of experience at General Counsel level including responsibility for managing transforming and developing operating and organisational structures
- Strong corporate and commercial law expertise across multiple jurisdictions including leading complex deal negotiations managing multiple stakeholders and supporting business/operating teams
- Proven track record in leading and managing multi-disciplinary project workstreams including strategy tax finance compliance/risk and operations
- Extensive experience working with senior/board-level executives in global organisations with the ability to positive influence decisionmaking at executive and board level in a constructive and credible manner
- Native/business-level proficiency in English
- Ability to work independently manage novel structures and take responsibility for commercial risk
- Flexibility to operate across multiple jurisdictions including a willingness to travel regularly.
