Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced MDM Architect / Data Architect to design implement and govern enterprise scale data and master data management (MDM) solutions. The role will lead data domain modeling canonical design governance and integration architecture across complex regulated ecosystems enabling trusted consistent and well governed enterprise data.
This role is critical in establishing golden sources of truth for core business domains such as Reference Data Security Master Counterparty Customer Instrument and Price data while aligning business technology and governance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Define and own enterprise data architecture MDM architecture and domain driven data models
Design MDM solutions (Registry Consolidation Coexistence or Centralized styles) aligned to business needs
Establish canonical data models semantic layers and metadata standards
Ensure alignment with target state architecture data modernization and cloud strategies
Master Data Management
Lead MDM initiatives across domains such as Reference Data Security Master Party/Customer Instrument Price and Counterparty
Define golden record survivorship rules match merge strategies and data quality frameworks
Integrate MDM with downstream consumers such as data lakes analytics reporting and operational systems
Support vendor platforms such as Informatica MDM Reltio Profisee SAP MDG GoldenSource or equivalent
Data Governance & Quality
Establish data governance frameworks stewardship models and ownership structures
Define data quality KPIs controls validation rules and remediation workflows
Partner with governance tools such as Collibra Alation Informatica DQ or similar
Ensure compliance with regulatory privacy and internal risk requirements
Integration & Platforms
Architect data integration patterns using Kafka APIs CDC ETL/ELT pipelines
Work with cloud and modern data platforms (Azure AWS GCP; Databricks Snowflake Dremio Azure Data Factory)
Ensure MDM integrates seamlessly with IBOR OMS Analytics Regulatory reporting and downstream platforms
Stakeholder & Leadership
Act as architectural authority working with business engineering risk and compliance teams
Translate business requirements into scalable architecture designs
Mentor data architects and data engineers
Contribute to SteerCo Architecture Review Boards and executive forums

Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
10 years in Data Architecture / MDM / Enterprise Data roles
Strong experience in MDM concepts: golden source survivorship match merge hierarchy management
Expertise in data modeling (Logical Conceptual Physical; 3NF dimensional models)
Strong SQL skills; understanding of PL/SQL or similar
Experience designing canonical and domain driven data models
Platforms & Tools
MDM tools: Informatica MDM Reltio Profisee GoldenSource (one or more)
Data platforms: Databricks Snowflake Dremio Azure Synapse BigQuery
Integration: Kafka REST APIs ETL/ELT tools CDC
Governance & metadata tools: Collibra Alation Informatica DQ (preferred)
Domain Experience (Strongly Preferred)
Asset Management / Capital Markets / Banking
Security Master Pricing Reference Data IBOR Market Data
Vendor data sources such as Bloomberg Rimes Refinitiv FactSet
Knowledge of industry standards such as FIBO (Financial Industry Business Ontology)

Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder communication and executive level articulation
Ability to balance architecture rigor with pragmatic delivery
Experience working in highly regulated environments
Leadership mindset with the ability to influence without authority

Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Data or related discipline
