• Install fire alarm systems according to blueprints schematics system design documents and electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints schematics CAD drawings and system diagrams to accurately plan and execute installations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure fire alarm systems are installed correctly and meet all safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance troubleshooting testing and repairs on fire alarm panels sensors low voltage wiring and associated components using hand tools and power tools.
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate system integration during building phases and ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
• Document all work performed through detailed reports including system configurations schematics updates inspection logs and service records.
• Provide field service support by diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimize system downtime.

Skills

• Strong ability to read blueprints schematics CAD drawings and electrical diagrams related to fire alarm systems.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in fire sprinkler fitting and construction inspection processes.
• Proficiency in working with sensors alarms systems sales processes fire alarm sales strategies and low voltage electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools power tools testing equipment for sensors and alarms as well as electrical troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for low voltage wiring and system installation standards.
• Familiarity with system design principles for fire alarm configurations including sensors placement and circuit layout.
• Ability to perform construction site inspections ensuring compliance with safety protocols; experience in service technician roles is highly valued.
