Job Description: Talend Administrator

Role Summary:

The Talend Administrator is responsible for the installation configuration administration monitoring and support of the Talend Data Integration platform. This role ensures platform stability security performance and availability across development test and production environments while supporting data engineering and integration teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Administration:

1. Install configure and maintain Talend Studio TAC (Talend Administration Center) and Job Servers.
2. Manage Talend environments (DEV / QA / PRE PROD / PROD) and promote jobs across environments.
3. Perform upgrades patches and hotfixes for Talend components.
4. Manage Talend licensing and version compatibility.

Operational Support:

1. Monitor Talend job execution scheduling and performance.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve job failures runtime issues and platform errors.
3. Ensure high availability and stability of the Talend platform.
4. Coordinate with infrastructure OS and database teams for platform issues.

Security & Access Management:

1. Configure and manage users roles and permissions within Talend.
2. Enforce security standards including authentication authorization and credential handling.
3. Ensure secrets and credentials are managed securely (vaults CyberArk etc.).

Scheduling & Deployment:

1. Manage job scheduling and orchestration using Talend TAC.
2. Support CI/CD pipelines for Talend job deployments.
3. Coordinate releases and deployments with Data Engineering teams.
4. Maintain rollback and recovery procedures.
5. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
6. Tune Talend job execution and Job Server performance.
7. Monitor resource utilization (CPU memory disk) on Talend servers.
8. Implement alerting and logging best practices.

Documentation & Governance:

1. Maintain operational runbooks SOPs and platform documentation.
2. Define and enforce Talend administration standards and best practices.
3. Support audits and compliance activities.
4. Participate in architecture and design reviews as needed.

Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with:

1. Data Engineering teams
2. Platform Engineering
3. Infrastructure & Security teams
4. Support onboarding and KT for new Talend users/admins.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience administering Talend Data Integration (DI) environments.
• Hands on knowledge of:
• Talend Administration Center (TAC)
• Talend Job Servers
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL etc.).
• Understanding of networking firewalls TLS and security concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment automation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
• Knowledge of data warehouses such as Snowflake.
• Experience supporting enterprise scale data platforms.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis.

Soft Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and support production
