Job Type: Contract 13 Weeks
Pay rate: $135/hr on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Level 1 Primary Care Physician for a locum assignment with Cherokee Nation. This role involves delivering comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting ensuring high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services including diagnosis treatment and preventive care
Perform physical examinations and patient assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical guidelines
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems
Educate patients on health management disease prevention and wellness
Collaborate with nurses specialists and other healthcare professionals
Ensure compliance with federal state and facility regulations
Requirements:
Active and unrestricted Physician license (OK or compact / willing to obtain)
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Minimum 1 2 years of Primary Care experience preferred
BLS/ACLS certification (current)
Strong clinical and communication skills
Experience in outpatient or community health settings preferred
