Location: Cherokee Nation
Contract Dates: 05/11/2026 to 08/22/2026
Schedule: 5x8s 40 hours per week
Pay: $50 $53/hr based on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a contract opportunity with Cherokee Nation. This role is a strong fit for a skilled surgical tech who is confident in the operating room experienced in sterile technique and committed to supporting safe efficient surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms before surgical procedures
• Set up and organize sterile instruments surgical supplies and equipment
• Maintain sterile field throughout the procedure
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgery
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to support efficient workflow
• Perform sponge sharps and instrument counts according to protocol
• Handle surgical specimens properly and accurately
• Clean restock and prepare the operating room for the next case
• Follow all infection control safety and facility policies
• Support quality patient care through precision focus and teamwork

Requirements:

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Previous Surgical Technician experience required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure operating room environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• BLS preferred if required by facility
