An exciting opportunity for an experienced shipping professional to take on a Liner Agency Manager role within a well-established maritime and logistics environment. The Liner Agency Manager will be responsible for overseeing all liner agency activities while driving commercial performance and ensuring alignment with principal standards and operational best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for the shipping principal
Manage end-to-end liner agency operations including bookings documentation and customer service
Drive commercial performance through market analysis and business development initiatives
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients freight forwarders and key stakeholders
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
Ensure compliance with principal requirements KPIs and reporting standards
Lead mentor and develop the agency team
Oversee financial processes including invoicing disbursement accounts and month-end reporting
Implement and improve operational processes systems and SOPs
Coordinate closely with port operations logistics providers and internal teams
Prepare performance reports and business updates
Represent the organisation in client meetings and industry engagements
Candidate Profile
Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Business Administration or related field
Minimum 4 years experience in shipping liner agency or freight forwarding
Strong understanding of container shipping operations and documentation
Proven experience in sales business development or commercial roles
Exposure to working with global shipping carriers is advantageous
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Fluent in French and English (essential for the market)
