Sentara Obici Hospital located in Suffolk VA is hiring a Patient Access Supervisor
The supervisor for Patient Registration and/or Patient Financial Services is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more areas. Supervises staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the department budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Responsible for interviewing hiring and developing staff with the goal of developing highly effective work team. Serves as chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.
Education
Bachelors Degree (Required)
Equivalent experience in Registration may be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree
Certification/Licensure
Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) OR Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) obtained within 12 months of hire (Required)
Experience
Healthcare experience - 1 year (Required)
